Continuing a 36 year old tradition, the City of Venice Holiday Parade is the perfect "kick off" to the holiday season in Venice, Florida. Over 3 thousand enthusiastic and creative participants representing approximately 120 local companies, schools, churches, social organizations and music groups join together to make this community family event fun for all ages.
Thousands of spectators line the parade route early to find and secure their perfect spot to enjoy the festivities.
Bring your appetite! Pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and goodies are offered for sale by high school booster clubs, Scouts and local Non-Profit service groups all along the parade route.
Pre-parade entertainment begins at 5 o'clock. Music begins to fill the air, the lighting of the downtown holiday decorations begin to sparkle with the sunset and the fun is just beginning .
Family friends and out of town guests will all enjoy this community centered holiday experience that you will never forget and keep you returning for years to come!
Parade Times: Pre-Parade Entertainment 5pm at the corner of Harbour Drive and West Venice Avenue and the corner of Nokomis Street and West Venice Avenue
Parade begins at Park Blvd at 7pm
MAJOR SPONSERS: The city of Venice and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
STREET CLOSINGS: Venice Avenue will be closed to thru traffic beginning at 3pm
from Business 41 to Venice Beach
PARADE ROUTE: Parade officially begins at the corner of Park Blvd and West Venice Avenue (South Side). The parade continues to the North side of Venice Avenue at Harbor Drive, turning south onto Nokomis Street and continuing on to Turin. The parade ends at the Venice Community Center.
CONCESSIONS: Food and drinks will be available for sale throughout the parade route by approval only.
FACILITIES: Public restrooms are located behind the tennis courts and at the corner of Nassau Street and West Venice Avenue will be open. Several Port-O-Lets will be available along parade route.
SNN CHANNEL 6: Broadcasting live the Venice Holiday Parade from 7pm until 9pm and will replay the event during the month of December
PARKING: Public parking will be available at Venice High School and Centennial Park on Venice Avenue.
All Schools, Service Clubs, Community Organizations, Music Associations, Corporate Sponsors, and Church Groups are invited to help celebrate the Venice Annual Holiday Parade.
